Leadership Development for Children

As an individual working in the area of people development and leadership, it is interesting to me that there does not seem to be formal or rather focused attention on indentifying leadership characteristics in children and working to help develop those.

While schools have components of "leadership" embeded in other programs and some extra curricular programs I am not sure there is a lot of work that speaks to identifying leaership traits in children and focusing a curriculum on developing them within their school environments.

I am interested in studying this and I will share what I find here.
